Better by Association
Trent joined the IBA staff as President and CEO in 2015. Additionally, he currently serves as the Chairman of the City of Eagle Planning & Zoning Commission the American Bankers Association, Government Relations Council, Independant Community Banker of America, Bank Operations and Payment Committee, and the National Association of Bank Advocates.
Trent served as the top executive for the Idaho Automobile Dealers Association from 2005 -2014. In that capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of the Association, including lobbying at both the state and federal level. His previous experience also includes working as the Government Affairs Director and Lobbyist for the Ada County REALTORS® Association, as well as serving as a Legislative Assistant in Washington, DC.
Jeni joined the IBA staff in 2017 as the Director of Member Services. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of all IBA sponsored education, conferences, and all other events. Prior to joining the IBA, Jeni was the Event and Education Director for the Idaho Association of REALTORS® for 11 years.
Justin joined the Idaho Bankers Association in 2022 as Vice President of Public Affairs, and helps lead the Association’s government relations, strategic communications, and community engagement activities. Prior to joining IBA, he was Vice President at GS Strategy Group, a Boise-based public affairs & research firm, where he worked with dozens of clients to achieve their strategic political and public affairs objectives. During his time at GS Strategy Group, he also helped create and implement the Idaho Community Bankers Association’s ‘Our Business is Our Community’ outreach campaign. Previously, Justin was a tenured professor of political science at Boise State University, where he also served as Director of the Center for Idaho History and Politics. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Illinois State University and his Doctorate in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
