Plan to join us for the upcoming 2017 Pacific Northwest Capitol Hill Visit, IBA’s Annual trip to Washington, D.C. This year, we will once again partner with the Oregon and Washington Bankers Associations.  This is your opportunity to connect with banking regulatory agencies to discuss current policy issues and the important leadership and service roles that Idaho banks play in their communities, as well as visit with Idaho elected officials.

It is critical that Idaho bankers make this annual trip to build relationships with decision-makers in Washington.  It is also important that the unique perspective of Pacific Northwest bankers is part of the national debate.  Top regulatory officials, national associations and our members of Congress all need to hear from bankers about the issues impacting our ability to serve our customers and communities.

Congressional visits are subject to the legislative calendar, so scheduling is a work in progress. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we develop a more complete itinerary.

This year we will be staying at the Mayflower Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel has been completely refreshed, offering a host of modern amenities, while still maintaining a sense of iconic luxury. Situated in the heart of the business district, directly across the street from the American Bankers Association offices, this downtown hotel is in a central location near national attractions and easy access to three metro subway lines that reach any city destination contribute to the property’s status. Individual participants will be responsible for the cost of their room and all incidental charges. Deluxe rooms are $309 plus tax per night.

Please note that association staff will make all lodging reservations at The Mayflower Hotel based on the arrival and departure information provided on the registration form. If you do not intend to participate in any pre-event optional activities, then please plan to arrive in D.C. on Monday, September 25. The visit will conclude with a dinner on Wednesday, September 27, so flight departures should be planned for Thursday, September 28. Each delegate is responsible for making his/her own airline reservations.
